A Festival of Light
Yomiuriland is a popular spot for holiday illuminations with one of the largest displays in the Kanto region. This year marks the theme park’s 16th season of Yomiuriland Jewelluminations, which will be held from October 23 to April 5 with thousands of lights, fountain shows, and new food and merchandise to enjoy the winter season.
This year’s festivities will be themed around “Light is Love,” expressing love for humanity, nature and the Earth. The 2025-2026 illuminations will be produced by the world-renowned lighting designer Motoko Ishii, using environmentally friendly “green electricity.”

Fountain Shows
The Wave Pool will have three fountain shows held every 15 minutes, starting at 17:00. La Fontaine is the most popular fountain show, with a spectacle of an overwhelming scale. The show features lasers, pyrotechnics and 272 fountains that can create massive 17-meter-tall springs for water screen projections.
Light Hop is a dynamic water and light performance produced by Akari-Lisa Ishii, held approximately every 30 minutes starting at 17:15.
Silhouette is a stage show that combines live dancers with water and lights. This show is only performed twice a day at 18:45 and 19:45.
Illumination Spots
For the event, Motoko Ishii Lighting Design Office utilized the world’s first LED lights inspired by the colors of gemstones. Guests can explore illuminations throughout the park and even covering attractions such as the giant ferris wheel. Guests can ride the ferris wheel to see a spectacular night view of Tokyo’s skyline and iconic tourist spots like Tokyo Tower and Skytree.
Other illumination highlights include the Jewel Promenade, the Lovely Sanctuary and the Crystal Passage with an 140-meter tunnel of light.
Food and Drinks
Yomiuriland will have new menu items that will be exclusively available during the event season. New items include onion soup pasta, beef bowls, shrimp and scallop gratin, ultra-spicy mapo tofu, Mexican potatoes, corn soup, sweet potato brulee, sangria and more.
Merchandise
To celebrate a new year of Yomiuriland Jewellumination, the theme park will offer souvenirs and snacks. New goods include strawberry chocolate-covered waffle cookies, soup sets, candy tins, magnets and bookmarks.
