Premier League Champions Set To Arrive in Japan

On Wednesday, the J.League is hosting the Meiji Yasuda J.League World Challenge 2025 as Yokohama F. Marinos take on Premier League champions Liverpool FC at the Nissan Stadium.

It’s a great opportunity for fans in Yokohama to see Liverpool’s world-class players up close, including the likes of Mo Salah and Virgil van Dijk, as well as their new players such as Milos Kerkez, Florian Wirtz, Jeremie Frimpong and Hugo Ekitiké. Japan captain Wataru Endo will also be appearing for the Reds.

Coached by Arne Slot, Liverpool secured a record-equalling 20th top-flight English league title last season, moving them level with Manchester United for the most in the country’s history. They’ve also won six UEFA Champions League titles. Yokohama F. Marinos have won the J.League title five times, but have struggled for form this season. They are currently third from bottom.
