Continuing their Jewellumination illumination event, Yomiuriland, about an hour away from Shinjuku on the Odakyu Line, is back again – the dazzling jewel-like lights designed by Motoko Ishii and the night view of Tokyo in the background will make for an unforgettable night. With 6 million lights, the illumination is the largest in the metropolitan area. Surround yourself with candy lights at the Pink Sapphire Town and skate away at the brand new ice skating rink as you watch the colorful illuminations sparkle around you.
Not only has Jewellumination extended its dates, Yomiuriland will feature a very special Sakura Illumination, also designed by Motoko Ishii between March 21 and April 7. It will illuminate the park’s 180-meter avenue of cherry blossom trees in a soft pink light creating a magical atmosphere even when night falls.
