Welcome To The Sumikko Restaurant
The first-ever Sumikko Gurashi restaurant-themed shopping experience and exhibition will open at the Keio department store in Shinjuku, with cute photo spots, numerous limited-edition items and more.
The event will take place on the 7th Floor Grand Event Hall of the department store. San-X’s adorable Sumikko Gurashi characters will be dressed up as various cafe items, welcoming in guests as delicious restaurant dishes to match the theme. The venue will have various photo spots where guests can take photos with the characters, and also pose their own Sumikko plush toys for immersive displays.
There will be a wide variety of exclusive merchandise available at the pop-up, including plush toys, plates, mugs and soda gummy tins — all featuring the new collection artwork.
During the event, the first 100 customers each day who spend ¥6,000 or more on a single transaction will receive a collectible spoon as a gift. There will be five spoon designs, with different available designs distributed each day of the event.
The character Tokage will also be making an appearance for meet-and-greet experiences on July 25. Tokage will be available for three time slots: 11:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m., with 30 total participants allotted per session.
