Explore the Visual Identity of Mikkeller Craft Beer
UltraSuperNew Kura art gallery will host a commemorative exhibit celebrating the 20th anniversary of Mikkeller craft brewery.

In the beginning, Mikkeller’s labels were a simple affair. But after Mikkeller’s first art director, Keith Shore, created the characters Henry and Sally, the illustrations grew to become synonymous with Mikkeller’s visual identity. Since 2013, Henry and Sally’s sometimes dramatic friendship has played out in front of the craft beer world with bold colors and playful compositions.
Mikkeller’s craft beer has been showcasing a variety of brewing styles and ingredients, experimenting with different hops, malt, barrel aging, spontaneous fermentation, coffee, passion fruit, yuzu, chocolate and more since 2006. The brand has also expanded to operate bars and restaurants around the world, and host an internationally-renowned beer festival and world-wide running club with 250 branches in 37 different countries.
The gallery will explore the art and design that have shaped the brand’s evolution across 20 years.
