Hotel New Grand

By Weekender Editor

The Hotel New Grand in Yokohama is a classic hotel overlooking Yamashita Park with a history dating back to 1927. As one of the few hotels to survive World War II without damage, it played an important role during the American occupation and briefly hosted General McArthur who famously stayed in room no. 315.

Today, the hotel is a beloved wedding and conference destination and is also a popular spot for afternoon tea as well as late night drinks, which can be enjoyed at the authentic British-style Sea Guardian II bar.
