US-based Cut Video has produced the 16th episode of their “100 years of beauty” series, which exhibits the evolution of hair and make-up trends over the course of the past 100 years in various countries around the world.

Previous episodes have focused on Philippines, Mexico, Korea, India, Iran, Russia, China, USA, Mongolia and more, but now it’s Japan’s turn.

The video has prompted many comments suggesting that Japan was the only country that “survived” the 80s, showcasing a more classy look than many others in the series for the same period.
