It was bound to happen sooner or later, a museum to Japan’s most popular instant food is nearing completion in Yokohama. The new museum which is housed in a swanky
building on Yokohama’s waterfront has been designed by one of Tokyo’s top creative directors, Kashiwa Sato—founder of award winning design practice Samurai. Sato is a designer famed for taking the Uniqlo brand World-wide, so expect big things from this odd shrine to instant food.
When it opens on September 17th, the new Cup Noodles museum will surely be at the top of every tourists “must-visit” list in Japan.
Well, maybe not, but it will offer an insight into the hugely profitable and extremely popular world of instant ramen and is just a 30 minute train ride from Tokyo.
Cup Noodles Museum, Grand Opening: September 17
