Believe it or not, Japanese whisky has steadily been gaining popularity and high regard over the years. Earlier this year the Yoichi 20 Years Old and Suntory Hibiki received the best single malt and blended whisky awards respectively in Whisky Magazine’s international blind-tasting competition. While some judges found it surprising, others chocked it up to the lack of awareness about Japanese whisky. Whisky Magazine Japan will be holding its annual Whisky Magazine Live! Tokyo event on February  21 at Tokyo Big Sight in Odaiba. In addition to tasting booths, there will also be workshops led by whisky experts from around the world, including Dave Broom, editor-in-chief of Whisky Magazine Japan. To join other
whisky enthusiasts for an afternoon full of tasting, tickets can be purchased online or at the door.
