China has expressed its intentions to develop bilateral ties with countries in Central Europe.
Chinese relations with Central Europe will take on a long-term road towards enhancing mutual trust. The meeting between the two countries’ leaders, Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao and his Macedonian counterpart Nikola Gruevski, is one of China’s initiatives to bolster relations with central-east European countries.
China and Macedonia will be working on proposed measures and initiatives to take care of major concerns. Wen recalled his meeting with leaders from Warsaw as being “of great importance”. Gruevski, who is in Beijing to attend an economic forum, welcomed China’s efforts. Macedonia will adhere to the One China policy and pledged cooperation several issues such as energy, transportation, infrastructure, investment, and trade.
