At the ashram our 2 daily meals are pure and balanced sattvic foods according to Ayurvedic tradition.

Specifically, our meals are pure vegetarian with no onion, garlic, little spice and salt. No caffeine or processed sugar. Instead, jaggery from sugar cane is used for the adored Indian chai (tea) I seem to drink by the gallon.

A sattvic snack that you can easily make is the ashram’s “Shakti Balls”. Mix finely chopped or ground almonds, peanuts, coconut with a blended mixture of dates, raisins and figs, and roll.
