Held each year in February, this three-day event celebrates the area’s history as a center for fabric dyeing. Dating back to the Edo period, dye producers would hang their fabrics along the Kanda and Myoshoji rivers. Today, visitors can marvel at vibrant lengths of patterned cloth draped over the river and colorful custom-made noren curtains hung along the shopping streetas the neighborhood celebrates its dyeing heritage.
