What better place to hold an anime matchmaking event than at one of Tokyo’s biggest anime festivals?

Anicon, a matchmaking event designed to help fans of anime make new friends—and maybe even meet that special someone—will take place alongside giant industry event AnimeJapan 2018 this March 24 and 25.

This event will be held at restaurants around Tokyo Big Sight, where AnimeJapan is held, and is targeted toward single men and women between the ages of 20 and 39.

The event is produced by popular anime channel Animax and Machicon Japan, a popular matchmaking service. Anicon has gained huge popularity since its debut in 2015, and has attracted over 1,600 participants.

Among the activities at Anicon is a quiz in which participants test their anime knowledge in teams, with great prizes donated by AnimeJapan rewarded to the winners.

The event will be also held in Aichi, Kyoto, Osaka, Hyogo, Okayama, Hiroshima, and Fukuoka in March.
