This is Miyamoto’s first solo show at Taro Nasu in 3 years, featuring 20 works including new photograms and pinhole camera photographs.
Miyamoto’s photograms depict familiar creatures – grass, bugs and birds. He places his subjects directly onto photosensitive paper and then exposes them to light, creating a white image of his subject against a black background: a quiet allusion to the to and fro between life and death.
