A Thai monk who was disrobed after being embroiled in a controversy over a video showing his ostentatious private jet ride now faces arrest on suspicion of having sex with a minor.

Wiraphon Sukphon, who is believed to be out of the country, is being sought in Thailand for allegedly having sex with an underage girl while he was a monk, and of fathering a child with her, reports AFP.

The woman is now seeking court action to prove that the former monk is the father of her son, now 11.

“We will seek a warrant from a court Wednesday,” Department of Special Investigation chief Tarit Pengdith told AFP.

Wiraphon caused a stir in Thailand after a video emerged showing his robe-clad self with two other monks in a private jet while donning shades and a Louis Vuitton luxury bag.

He has been under scrutiny for allegations of improper conduct, including tax evasion, drug possession and money-laundering.

The probe also revealed 41 bank accounts under his name, AFP reports.

Authorities are now seeking to freeze those accounts and other assets, and to have the former monk’s passport revoked.

Thai monks have been hit by an array of scandals involving drugs, drinking, gambling, and prostitution.
