The Fantasy of Amano

The internationally acclaimed painter Yoshitaka Amano, and his son Yumihiko Amano, will be holding a joint exhibition in Ikebukuro showcasing their fantasy art. Yoshitaka Amano has been creating art for over 50 years and has established himself as a master designer and visual artist, creating illustrations for renown works such as the Vampire Hunter D novel series and Neil Gaiman’s Sandman: The Dream Hunters. Amano was also commissioned for the popular Final Fantasy video game franchise. His signature style, inspired by a blend of art nouveau and Japanese wood block prints, create an otherworldly essence.

Joining his father, contemporary artist Yumihiko Amano expands on his family’s passion and expression.

This free exhibit will be displayed for a limited time at Ikebukuro Sunshine City Exhibition Hall C inside the Sunshine City Cultural Hall Building. Visitors attending the exhibition will receive an original art card. Visitors who make an advance reservation online will also receive an original clear file.

After Tokyo, the exhibition will also be making a stop at Tochigi’s Light Cube Utsunomiya from October 24 to October 27, and Saitama‘s Tokorozawa Civic Cultural Center from November 14 to November 17.
