Queer and femme party Waifu is celebrating its fifth anniversary of shaking up Tokyo’s nightlife with a special live set by Numa Gama, a musician and DJ from Rio de Janeiro. They will join resident DJ Chloe Juliette and two DJs who use wheelchairs, Keita and Sashimi-cha. FreakyNoriky and Vivi, two of the hottest DJs in Tokyo’s queer scene, will also be on the floor.
A pop-up corner will feature goods by Super-KIKI, an artist well known for making the logo and many of the illustrations for WAIFU, plus zines and books by Loneliness Books, Palestine solidarity goods by UT RISE and DJ FreakyNoriky’s upcycled brand Vintage 4 Freaks.
Work by O0sirico00 and remake bags by nikoful will also be on sale. In addition, there will be a fortune-telling booth by Milai_Asatsuki, and an exhibition and sale of “Queer Placards in Solidarity with Palestine.”
