A Merry Bear-y Christmas
The Ueno Christmas Market is bringing illuminations, food, live music and pandas for the holiday season. Ueno Park’s Hakamakoshi Square will have a giant Christmas tree set up with sparkling lights and panda statues for cute festive photos.
The Panda Market will be selling panda-related goods, including a limited edition Christmas stamp set featuring Ueno Zoo’s panda family featuring Ri Ri, Shin Shin, Xiang Xiang, Xiao Xiao and Lei Lei. Limited quantities will be on sale every day during the event starting at 11:00.
A gourmet market will welcome food trucks offering champagne, beer, chicken and international food. The Ueno Christmas Food Festival will run throughout the event period, from 11:00 to 21:00.
Guests can catch live performances by a variety of artists, with new acts every day from 17:00 to 20:30 on weekdays and from 12:00 to 20:30 on weekends. Featured artists include DJ Dinoji, Akane Ebisawa, Asuka Nagasawa, Style-3! and Akiichiko. For a full performance schedule, please check the website.
