Spring is in bloom at the National Museum of Modern Art, where the MOMAT collection has some of the finest cherry blossom paintings on show. Find your gaze drifting into the stream of Kawai Gyokudo’s “Parting Spring” (a National Important Cultural Property, pictured above) while Kikuchi Hobun’s “Fine Rain on Mt. Yoshino” transports you to the famous Nara mountainside.
