A Kawaii Halloween
Hello Kitty and her Sanrio friends will be celebrating Purohalloween with a theme of witches and wizards starting on September 5.
Shows and Attractions
Performing only on weekends and holidays (plus October 31 and November 4), the Tree of Wisdom Stage will have an all-new illusion show starring Hello Kitty and one of Japan’s top professional magicians known as Youri with his assistant Sumika. Guests will help to make Puroland’s magical flowers bloom with the power of magic.
During weekdays, the Tree of Wisdom Stage will have a Purohalloween photo session where a variety of characters will come out in their Halloween outfits to take photos with guests. Characters include Hello Kitty, Cinnamoroll, Pompompurin, Wish Me Mel, My Sweet Piano, Hanamaruobake and more. The featured characters change daily, so please check the performance schedule for timeslots and to see what character will be available.
For guests looking to have more interaction with the characters, the Purohalloween Special Greeting held at the first floor event corner will hold private sessions. This is a premium activity that requires a participation ticket. A total of four people can attend per participation ticket. The ¥3000 fee will get you an original sticker set and time with one to two of the featured characters. Tickets can be purchased online here. General ticket sales start on August 30 and can be ordered up until 15 minutes before the greeting begins.
The J-pop idol group Super Tokimeki Sendenbu will have a special one-day performance on November 2 exclusively for members of the group’s fan club. The show will follow the idol members, accompanied by Hello Kitty and Kuromi. Tickets are available online.
Food and Drinks
Puroland’s menu will get a Halloween makeover starting on September 5. There are 18 new menu items including Hello Kitty’s witch curry, Pochacco’s Halloween ramen set, Hanamaruobake’s pumpkin and sweet potato parfait, Dear Daniel’s cafe mocha and Milk’s rare cheesecake and mint chocolate parfait. You can find these at the Character Food Court, Cinnamoroll Dream Cafe, the Sanrio Rainbow World Restaurant and the Sweet Parlor.
