Stunning Routines with Big Band Sound

Gentle Forest Jazz Band, currently Japan’s biggest big band, is celebrating their 20th anniversary with a special concert at Cotton Club.

For each performance, the Gentle Forest Jazz Band will welcome unique, genre-defying featured guests that will amaze and perfectly complement the big band sound.

The November 7 show will feature magician Masa Magic, the first Japanese magician to achieve top honors at the Academy of Magical Arts (also commonly known as the Magic Castle). On November 8, saxophonist Tomoaki Baba will join the performance. Baba previously worked the animated film Blue Giant, performing as the film’s main character Dai Miyamoto. Baba has also played in Louis Cole’s band, and performed at music festivals both domestically and internationally with his band Electric Riders. The final show on November 9 will feature dancer Kazuho Monster, who specializes in “animated dance.” This style combines techniques including the moonwalk, pantomime and wave.

On November 7, the first show will open at 17:00 and start at 18:00. The second show will open at 19:45 and start at 20:30. For both November 8 and November 9, the first show of the day will open at 15:30 and start at 16:30, and the second show will open at 18:30 and start at 19:30.
