The Centennial Celebration of Lesage Tweed
Iconic luxury French designer Chanel will bring together artisans and experts from the fashion and interior design industry in its special exhibition initiative, “La Galerie du 19M Tokyo.” The project includes two galleries, “Beyond Our Horizons” and “Lesage: 100 Years of Fashion and Decoration,” and will celebrate the richness of both French and Japanese artists and present a cultural dialogue.
“Lesage: 100 Years of Fashion and Decoration” will showcase a retrospective celebrating the 100th anniversary of the embroidery and tweed weaving house, Lesage. The exhibition will be held at the Mori Arts Center Gallery on the 52nd floor of the Roppongi Hills Mori Tower. Founded in 1924, Lesage has been renowned for its mastery in embroidery and textiles, combining weaving with sequins, beads and metallic threads for luxurious tweeds that have become synonymous with the Chanel brand.
Admission to the exhibition is free, and mandatory advance registration can be completed online.
