A Colorful Spectacle of Ice
Witness a winter wonderland with Chichibu’s magical Ashigakubo Icicle Illuminations. Stretching for around 200 meters and towering up to 30 meters, the icicles are a gorgeous display of winter beauty, highlighted with magnificent colorful lights.
The illuminations will be held on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays from around 17:00 to 20:00 (last entrance 19:30), depending on the time of the sunset. Please be wary that the event period may change depending on the ice conditions. As this is a popular event, it is recommended for guests to make an online reservation. Reservations are only available for weekends and holidays.
The park is a 10-minute walk from Ashigakubo Station on the Seibu Chichibu Line. A free shuttle bus will operate exclusively on weekends, taking visitors from the parking lot behind the Yokozemachi Bukosan Tourist Information Center (near the icicle venue) to the Komatsuzawa Leisure Farm and Buko Onsen.
The overall park will be open from 9:00 to 16:30 (last entrance 16:00) on Monday to Wednesday, 9:00 to 20:00 (last entrance 19:30) on Thursday and Friday, and 9:00 to 16:00 on Saturday, Sunday and public holidays.
Illumination tickets on Thursday and Friday are ¥600 for middle school students and above and ¥400 for elementary school students. Tickets on weekends and public holidays are ¥800 for middle school students and above and ¥500 for elementary school students.
