A Stay Plan Inspired by Japan’s Showa Era and New Trends
Andaz Tokyo Toranomon Hills is inviting guests to experience Tokyo like never before with its newest cultural stay package. “The Nostalgic Soul of Tokyo Today: Music, Flavors & Nightlife in Shimbashi” is offering a rare opportunity to peel back the layers of modern Tokyo and rediscover its true soul through music, food and authentic local bars.
Starting from 22 September 2025, the stay package includes a 3.5-hour guided walking tour through Shimbashi, a dynamic neighborhood where echoes of the Showa period still linger in smoky alleyways, handwritten signage and cozy backstreet establishments that have stood the test of time.
Guided by a local English-speaking expert and together with a very small group, guests will visit hidden cultural gems that capture the enduring charm of Tokyo. This includes the chance to enjoy home-style dishes, as well as visiting a vintage vinyl record bar and a cozy snack bar. It is designed not just for sightseeing, but for deep cultural immersion.
The walking tour takes place on the second evening of the stay.
