After weeks of speculation sparked by quietly dropped teaser visuals, Comme des Garçons and K-Pop artist G-Dragon have officially unveiled their first collaboration together. Created to celebrate G-Dragon’s 2025 world tour, Übermensch, the capsule collection will launch as part of an eight-day limited-time stage event at Isetan Shinjuku, running from 24 to 31 December 2025.
The collaboration was developed under CDG, Comme des Garçons’ diffusion line, and consists of 11 items in total. The collection leans into CDG’s restrained, everyday language: staff coats, coach jackets, sweatshirts, T-shirts, accessories and bags. Each piece features a limited-edition “CDGDC” logo alongside “Übermensch.” Available exclusively in Japan, the pieces will be sold at Isetan Shinjuku’s Main Building 1F The Stage, with purchase limits in place due to expected demand.

G-Dragon, Style Icon Beyond the Stage
Born Kwon Ji-yong, G-Dragon has long existed in the space where music, fashion and art overlap. He rose to fame as the leader of BIGBANG before carving out a solo career defined by creative autonomy and constant reinvention.
His relationship with Japan is especially notable. From major tours to solo projects and exhibitions, Japan has consistently been a key site for his artistic output, making this collaboration with a Tokyo-born fashion house feel particularly natural. Over the years, the soloist has worked as an ambassador for brands like Chanel and Nike, while developing his own label, PEACEMINUSONE.

The Legacy of Comme des Garçons
Founded by Rei Kawakubo in 1969, Comme des Garçons has never been interested in following fashion’s conventional rhythms. Known for its intellectual approach and resistance to trends, the brand has spent decades questioning what clothing can — and should — be. CDG, launched in 2018, distills that ethos into a more accessible format, built around the timeless, iconic CDG logo that has become recognizable worldwide.
