There’s no shortage of sushi in Shibuya, but new sushi bar Sushi Hanaoka stands out among the crowd. That’s because it offers both stunning appetizers and rare local seafood that isn’t usually served in Tokyo.

That selection of seafood is hand-picked by chef Hiroaki Hanaoka, who spent 16 years studying his trade in sushi bars throughout Tokyo before going independent. Aside from great seafood, Hanaoka offers a selection of premium sake and a relaxing, high-class atmosphere. It’s open until 1am, meaning you can wine and dine late into the night.

Hanaoka’s appetizer and sushi course, which includes sake, beer, wine and champagne, is ¥12,000 per guest.
