Harajuku’s largest and most mind-boggling restaurant, Kawaii Monster Cafe is holding its Halloween party again this year – ready to treat visitors to prizes that are worth a total of 2 million yen.

Situated in the center of all that’s kawaii, Kawaii Monster cafe was conceived and designed by visual artist Sebastian Masada (known for his work with major Japanese pop star Kyary Pamyu Pamyu) in cooperation with Diamond Dining. Being the largest restaurant (or whatever one might call this massive facility of pure entertainment) in Harajuku, it has already become one of Tokyo’s go-to locations, just over a year since its opening in August 2015.

Its smash Halloween Event, which drew a massive audience of more than 1,500 people last year, is coming back even louder, welcoming 20 major DJs from the worlds of music, fashion, and entertainment. Welcome to Club Nightmare!

Entering the contest is simple: whether you’re striking a pose next to the Kawaii Monster Café’s cake-shaped merry-go-round in your perfect outfit, or photographing a couple of well-deserved drinks, post your photo with #KMCSHOWCASE. That’s all you need to participate in the cosplay contest, and it will put you one step closer to being one of the 1200 prizewinners for the evening.

If you want to make the most of this newly beloved and truly wicked holiday in our nation’s capital, Kawaii Monster Cafe is definitely the place to be. The opportunity to be a different you for the night, while keeping an eye out for a potential prize, doesn’t sound too bad.
