Do you separate your trash and make sure to recycle? This artist goes the extra mile when it comes to reusing aluminum cans.

The Japanese artist Makaon uses colorful cans to create sculptures and framed 3D images with a pop culture twist. He explains on his website that he downloads and prints paper craft templates, which he then sticks onto empty aluminum cans, finally cutting them into the right shapes and building them according to the template instructions.

Although the can sculptures may be his most popular work, he also works with other materials such as clay and cork.
