Kid-Friendly Halloween Fun
The Kichijoji Halloween Festival is returning for its 14th year for a family-friendly community event filled with activities, candy and costume shows. With the theme of showcasing Halloween traditions around the world, the event will teach children about various international countries and the ways that children celebrate the season.
Through the Candy Rally, guests can enjoy trick-or-treating around Kichijoji Station. The rally will be held on October 24, 25 and 26 from 11:00 to 18:00 for children ages 0-12 accompanied with their parents/guardians. Kids can walk around the neighborhood and receive candy from participating stores. Advance registration is required to participate.
Kids can come show off their costumes at the Kids Costume Fashion Show. A red carpet will be set up in the north plaza of Tokyu Department Store Kichijoji on October 26 from 13:00 to 16:45. There is a ¥1500 participation fee and participants will also receive special bonus benefits including a photo frame, handmade sweets from Kichijoji Futaba Confectionery Professional School and coupons for Tokyu Department Store.
The festival will have various workshops that children and adults can enjoy working on together. Crafts include designing original candy bags, building Halloween wreaths and decorating cookies. For more information, please visit the event website.
