Fireworks and Naval Vessels
Celebrate the new year at Yokosuka with sparkling lights and fireworks. Yokosuka’s main port will be adorned with illuminations stretching across its ships and parks. Then, approximately 500 fireworks will be launched for a spectacle lighting up the night sky.
The celebration will take place in the Verny Park recreation area. The event will officially open up at 18:00 with stage events and food sales, followed by the illumination of naval vessels and the Yokosuka Regional Headquarters Building at 21:00 and fireworks at midnight. The event will wrap up at 1:00.
The stage will have a variety of performances, including the Soriizo Wind Orchestra, Dance Studio Amuse, Kyokushin karate dojo, the Maeda Family Band and more. Please visit the event website for the full show schedule.
Event exhibitors include gourmet vendors such as Sunrise Berth, Honch Shell, Asian Goyanglidah, South Denim Kitchen and Daddy’s Pizza.
