Return to 1999 and relive the turn of the century into Y2K. Video Game Prom invites guests to dress up, meet new friends, dance and create fun memories with this new iteration of prom. Play a collection of quirky video games, sign yearbooks and look out for hidden easter eggs.
Located at HVEN bar in the Nakameguro neighborhood, Video Game Prom brings together a variety of talented people from gaming, music and entertainment. This year’s theme is “Y2K.” The 2000s marked a defining moment in technology and pop culture that has had a lasting impact. The party is a celebration of that time that is not so far gone, but is already a distant nostalgic memory.
Created in 2019 with the mission of bringing prom party culture to Japan’s video game industry members and influencers, the Real Haters Club creative crew put together the ultimate celebration. Tickets for the 2025 Video Game Prom are available online.
