The Voice of the Holiday Season

Patti Austin, one of the premier voices spanning jazz, soul and R&B, will return to Blue Note Tokyo to illuminate the holiday season with her unmistakable seasoned vocals.

Austin first stepped onto the prestigious Apollo Theater stage at only four years old, and joined Quincy Jones on tour at just nine. After making her solo debut in 1976, she scored a major breakthrough with her 1981 album Every Home Should Have One, and won her first Grammy Award in 2008. Known for timeless hits such as “Say You Love Me” and “Baby, Come to Me,” Patti has thrilled audiences worldwide and at Blue Note Tokyo with themed sets ranging from Ella Fitzgerald tributes to her R&B repertoire.

This year, embracing the festive spirit, Austin will also perform a selection of Christmas classics. She will be accompanied by Kim Hansen as music director and performing on keyboard, Noriko Wright on keyboard, Carlyle Bariteau on guitar, Eric Sittner on bass and Chad Wright on drums.
