A Dazzling ‘Precious Night’

Master violinist Naoko Terai, known as the “Queen of Jazz Violin,” will make her highly-anticipated holiday-season debut at Blue Note Place.

Terai began playing the violin at the age of four and made her professional debut as a jazz performer in 1988. She has received numerous awards, including the Agency for Cultural Affairs’ “Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology’s New Artist Award” and the Japan Gold Disc Award for “Jazz Album of the Year.” She has collaborated with top artists such as Richard Galliano, Kenny Barron and Herbie Hancock.
