Carrying Jazz History into the Future

Kenny Garrett, one of the most influential saxophonists of the jazz community, will return to Japan for his first performance since his acclaimed 2024 shows. His landmark album Sounds from the Ancestors has been a long-selling hit, blending jazz, R&B and gospel. The albums also paid tribute to legends such as Roy Hargrove, earning widespread praise for its electrifying and deeply spiritual sound.

Kenny Garrett is a modern master who honors the past while shaping the future of jazz. Throughout his career, Garrett has worked alongside jazz innovators including Miles Davis, Art Blakey, and Freddie Hubbard, while also leading projects that have nurtured the next generation of talent.

This performance will feature Kenny Garrett on alto saxophone, Melvis Santa on vocals, Keith Brown on piano, Corcoran Holt on bass, Rudy Bird on percussion and Ronald Bruner Jr. on drums.

On January 17 and January 18, the first performance will open at 15:30 and the show will start at 16:30. The second show will open at 18:30 and start at 19:30. On January 19, the first performance will open at 17:00 and start at 18:00. The second performance will open at 19:45 and start at 20:30.
