A Spatial Designer’s Immersive Exhibition
Ikebana artist and spatial designer Hisaya Kumano’s upcoming solo exhibition “FROZEN STRINGS” will be hosted at PLAT Shibuya in Tokyo from September 26 to 28, 2025. This immersive three-day event invites audiences into a realm where floral art, music, video and lighting converge to explore the mystique of nature and human imagination. This exhibition is a sensory and spatial narrative that employs elements of fantasy, Japanese aesthetics like ma (the beauty of negative space) and immersive storytelling to stimulate each visitor’s imagination. The final “completion” of the artwork is meant to unfold uniquely within each viewer.
