A Massive Gathering of Artists
Design Festa is hosting the 62nd volume of its flagship event at Tokyo Big Sight’s west and south halls from November 15 to November 16.
The art event began in 1994 as a “place for free expression” for both professionals and amateurs. Explore original works created by over 10,000 artists from various ages, nationalities, genres and styles. Design Festa offers a place to shop for unique items, but also a platform for free expression and community interaction. The event will have live performances and gourmet food from all over the world.
Approximately 6,500 booths will be exhibiting at the venue each day, with an extensive array of featured crafts and skills including work from painters, clockmakers, illustrators, singers, jewelers, sculptors, beaders and more. For a full list of exhibitors, please visit the event website.
Advance tickets are ¥800 to attend for one day and ¥1500 for two days. You can purchase tickets at the Design Festa Office Gallery in Harajuku, through online ticketing sites or at convenience stores. Same-day tickets are ¥1,000 for one day. Same-day two-day tickets are not available. Elementary school children and younger can enter for free.
