Yutaka Yamamoto’s Tohoku Trilogy Hakubo Screening

Yutaka Yamamoto, renowned anime director of Melancholy of Haruhi SuzumiyaKannagi, and Fractale will be airing the last film – Hakubo – of his Tohoku Trilogy project. The Tohoku Trilogy is a charity project for relief efforts of the 2011 Tohoku earthquake and tsunami. Director Yamamoto’s shock from the disaster fueled his desire to contribute to the disaster restoration and create the Tohoku Trilogy. The trilogy beautifully expresses the strong bond Yamamoto established with the Tohoku region. The first two films of the Tohoku Trilogy, Wake Up, Girls! and blossom will be airing alongside Hakubo.
