Yamathon 2020 *Postponed*

Health & Relaxation, Sports & Outdoors

Rescheduled for Oct 3, 2020

Get ready to put on your walking shoes for a good cause! This unique Tokyo walking event sees small teams attempt to visit every station on the JR Yamanote line on foot within a 12-hour time limit (a half Yamathon is also an option). Teams will be provided with a suggested route on Google Maps but are free to take their own shortcuts, and must take a photograph at each of the stations along the way. This charity challenge is organized by International Volunteer Group (IVG) with 100% of registration proceeds going to this year’s charity partner, Yokohama Children’s Hospice Project. If you want to get in on the action you need to pay the entry fee and pre-register a team of three to four people before May 11th. For those who want to send off or cheer on the participants, the start/finish line is the Tokyo Tokia Building, near Tokyo Station.
