Turner and the Poetics of Landscape

One of Britain’s leading landscape painters, Joseph Mallord William Turner created expressive works, skillfully depicting stormy seas and towering mountains as well as peaceful countryside scenes. His art influenced many — and with over 2,000 paintings and over 19,000 drawings and sketches, there was much to be inspired by.

This exhibition features 120 of his works in watercolor, oil, and print.
