Tokyo Film Premier: Sign Gene
Emilio Insolera’s Sign Gene, the world’s first film about deaf superheroes with supernatural powers, premiers in Tokyo.
Filmed in the US, Japan and Italy, the 2017 superhero film written, produced and directed by Insolera is about a deaf agent from New York City sent to Japan to investigate crimes believed to have been committed by Japanese deaf mutants. Six languages are spoken and signed in the film: English, Japanese, Italian, American Sign Language, Japanese Sign Language and Italian Sign Language.
Leading actors Emilio Insolera, Hiroshi Vava, Carola Insolera, Nobuyuki Motte, Warren Trofimenhoff and various other actors will be attending the premier.
