Thrush Cafe will host Happo-en’s annual beer terrace, called “FARMERS SUPPORT BEER EVENT” this summer. Not only have restaurants struggled in the Covid age, but also their suppliers. Due to the pandemic, produce sales are decreasing and farmers hurting with unsold inventory. In support of farmers, the beer terrace will offer two dishes revolving around naturally-grown ingredients that act gently upon the body: the “Farmer’s Plate,” with 12 types of vegetables; and the “Brochette & Nature’s Bounty Plate,” which incorporates seasonal veggies grown by producers from all over the country. The Happo-en chefs have crafted meals that highlight the flavors of the ingredients and pair nicely with craft beer. In addition to Happo-en’s original beer (“Farm to Ale Fragrant Weizen”), customers can opt for Hop Japan’s craft beer, made from 100 percent hand-picked hops.
On August 6, Mr. Hakoto Honma of Hop Japan Co., Ltd. will be hosting an online beer event, where you can taste and learn about hops beer from the comfort of your own home.
