Tadanori Yokoo ‘B29 and Homeland—From My Childhood to Andy Warhol’

Now 83 years old, world-renowned artist and graphic designer Tadanori Yokoo is distinctly recognizable for his vivid and striking graphic artworks having first establishing himself as a prolific graphic designer in the 1960s and later turning to painting in the 1980s. His subject matter spans across various genres from visual arts to literature mixing references and time periods from his childhood icons to modern figures. This exhibition combines portraits of popular and significant fragmented imagery of the Second World War alongside pieces from the artist’s Y-Junction series.
