Shiro Takatani (Dumb Type) “ST/LL”
Artist Shiro Takatani (Dumb Type) brings his performance work “ST/LL” to the New National Theatre, Tokyo. The piece was first performed in 2015 in France, followed by shows in Brussels and Naples. Takatani has pioneered new possibilities in modern dance and performing arts using sophisticated “media art” such as video, lighting, graphic art and stage design in his works. His latest performance piece “ST/LL” (Still) explores a sense of silence, stillness and photographic “stills.” This is sure to be a captivating and exciting example of the evolving and limitless boundaries of contemporary dance.
