“The Seagull”: A Play at NNTT
The New National Theatre Tokyo presents Russian dramatist Anton Chekhov’s timeless classic, “The Seagull”. First performed in 1896, this four-act drama centers around a group of four artists who meet at a country guest house in Russia at the end of the 19th century. All of them are dissatisfied with their lives and as they begin to interact and the story unfolds, the play deals with lost opportunities and the clash between generations.
