Sakana & Japan Festival 2019
The inaugural Sakana & Japan Festival brings a delicious haul of seafood to Yoyogi Park. Held over three days, this latest large-scale food fiesta celebrates fish and seafood from all across the country, following on from the Japan Fisherman’s Festival held last year. From sea urchin croquets and shrimp mandu dumplings to grilled squid, paella and plenty of sushi, there are more than enough tasty dishes and snacks to satisfy. In addition to serving up boat loads of fine food, the organizers hope to promote a healthy diet and local fishing industries, and to educate consumers about the safety of produce from recovering areas like Fukushima.
