Saburo Teshigawara is one of Japan’s leading contemporary dancers. His signature style, best characterized by ample and dramatic body movements — likely inspired by his training in mime and classical dance in his teenage years — has brought him to teach and travel all over the world and prestigious dance companies, including the Ballet de l’Opéra de Paris.
“Heavenly Gardens” is one of his newest productions, which he created under his company KARAS. The performance stars Teshigawara, dancer, choreographer and longtime collaborator Rihoko Sato and cellist Jonathan Roozeman.
This is your chance to see a master at work inside the walls of the Aichi Prefecture Art Theater.
Fri, Sept 16 from 19:00
