The People by Kishin – The Last Show

Art

The final instalment of legendary photographer Kishin Shinoyama’s seven-year traveling “Photo Power” exhibition series features iconic shots and people. Kishin’s career spans over five decades and he is known for photographing a wide range of famous faces such as John Lennon and Yoko Ono (one shot was even used on the cover of Lennon’s 1980 album Double Fantasy) as well as social and cultural events. The exhibition is divided into five sections showing work from throughout his prolific career including memorials to deceased stars, fantasy scenes, nude portraits, and a series of touching images of people affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake.
