In their latest music video titled “Alright“, Pearl Center’s vocalist Inui cavorts to their upbeat music in a mesh sheer top, funky overshirt and unbuttoned checkered overalls. The rest of his bandmates oozes the same unapologetic flamboyance: pops of color from nail-polished fingers, glossy tangerine lipstick and vibrant retro sunglasses. Cramping apartment-like studio, their idiosyncratic moves are fine displays of peak dad dancing that make the entire performance psychedelic. Formed in 2019, they released their original EP debut Sweet Spot before their second record Humor in April 2020 hits the chart. Growing from the archetypical J-pop band heartthrobs to artists who don’t shy away from ruffles and frills, Pearl Center’s has all the trappings for a quasi-disco fever. Join them this Friday at Park Live’s YouTube channel.
‘Park Live’ is a new place to interact with music, which is a bit different from a live house or a club, producing an experience as if the artists are in your living room. The live stream will be distributed via YouTube and Instagram. After the live stream, you can watch the video on the channel or IGTV 24 hours from the start of the show.
