Canadian multi-instrumentalist, composer and vocalist performs his first solo show in Tokyo. Owen Pallett started playing the violin at age three, and was composing his own songs by the time he was 13. From scoring film soundtracks to writing operas, he continued to receive an impressive list of commissions, all the while continuing his own solo indie pop endeavors. In recent years, Pallett has remixed, collaborated and contributed to a wealth of outputs for huge names in pop music from Arcade Fire to the Pet Shop Boys, with Linkin Park somewhere in between. His achievements even include an Academy Award nomination, together with collaborator William Butler, for Best Original Score for their work on Her. His live performances often feature looping violin beneath his distinctive haunting vocals, creating an unique aural experience not to be missed.
