Noh Performance 2020 ~Praying for the End of the New Coronavirus~

A series of very special performances bring together top performers and national treasures in the world of Noh. The oldest traditional theatre art of Japan, Noh is a combination of dance and drama featuring plays often based on classic tales incorporating supernatural characters. Performers wear striking costumes and masks and use various props to enhance their stories. Originally planned as a special celebration to celebrate the Tokyo Olympics, this grand event has been renamed to bring hope and support in the time of Covid-19. A full list of performances and cast members can be found at the event website. The theater is taking measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus, including half capacity seating.
